Man, Josy. What is with all the car photos? Like seriously.
Yesterday was the Colts Neck business fair and antique car show... so there were, shockingly, some antique cars sitting around. Why this particular one? I've always had a thing for woodies (NO JOKES), and apparently my grandmother used to drive one of these old Chryslers.
Normally, I'd blur out the license plate, but I thought it was worth a mention that historic cars in New Jersey can be identified by their "QQ" plates. (I actually call the cars 'QQs,' as in, "Hey look, a QQ just drove by!" but I think I'm the only person in the state who does this.)

I am not entirely sure what kind of flower this is. It's one of those little pinhead-sized wildflowers that grows in fields and nobody ever notices because it's so small they can't really get a good look at it.

I have some weird need to sneak around and take photographs of large cement-and-metal drainpipes (Exhibit A, Exhibit B). I think it's because I like tunnels, and the idea of potentially crawling into one of these pipes appeals to me. Unfortunately, all of the drains I have investigated to date have been uncrawlable... mostly because I'm a girl and I don't want to get my clothes all wet and muddy.
P.S. I managed not to fall into the red-silty water, but I did have to get into an awkward and compromising position to take this shot. So I'm not 100% prissy, I swear!

Say I'm the only bee in your bonnet--
Make a little birdhouse in your soul.
A funny old birdhouse with hanging gourd-shaped apartments... located by the municipal trail in Colts Neck.
("Municipal trail?" Yeah, the municipal buildings have a gravel/dirt trail that goes around them. It's scenic, if you like that sort of thing, and open to the public.)

Okay, so I forgot that yesterday was St. Patrick's Day. It wasn't until I went into the student center, bought some coffee, and read a sign saying "Just because it's St. Patty's Day doesn't mean you should drink and drive" (or something to that effect) that it even occurred to me. Too many holidays! There's Daylight Savings, then Pi Day, then Palm Sunday, then St. Patrick's Day, then St. Joseph's Day, then Maundy Thursday and Good Friday and Easter--all in the span of two measly weeks!
ANYWAY.
These are some stone geese right by a street sign.
The geese were wearing Christmas attire up until this week. But now, as you can see, they have gotten with the times.

Colts Neck. The side of the truck reads "Landy's Performance," I think.
Y'know, last week, it was snowing. This week, we're all going around in our shirtsleeves. I remember a time back when winter was winter and summer was summer and you could actually tell them apart. Stupid global warming.

Route 34, somewhere around Holmdel or Colts Neck.
(Me? Take photographs while driving? Of course not; that's dangerous.)
