I get a huge kick out of peoplewatching. I think everyone does, really. It's fascinating to imagine what's going through their minds--why they're in the same place as me today--where they're going--where they came from--what they're going to do when they get home and why they're going to do it--who they know--et cetera et cetera et cetera.

I like colorful umbrellas! It seems like everyone still uses drab black umbrellas on drab gray days. I mean, I understand trying to seem professional, but why does being professional have to be so depressing?

The, ah, City Centre Plaza in Red Bank.

I've been noticing that the resolution of my 700-pixel photos is a little... crummy. Even when I'm resizing from a reasonable starting point (like 1960 pixels wide -->700), and even when the resolution of the starting photo isn't THAT bad (maybe not GREAT, but not HORRENDOUS).

I scaled this one at a slightly higher dpi instead of the usual 72 to see if it makes a TEENY bit of difference. We shall see. Maybe it'll just take longer to load.

Red Bank Armory, January 2007. I need some people-photos around here.

It also happens to be my submission for Shutterday's "strangers" theme.
