We put the garden in really late this year because none of us wanted to do it. But when they ripen, we'll have FAMOUS JERSEY TOMATOES!

The orangeish-pink you see is a reflection from the red plastic underneath.

This is a neat shot. I took a picture of our two Better Boy tomatoes yesterday just to record I have some green ones on the vines. Nice but it will be a while before we can eat them.

Oooooh, I can taste the salt on that one in a few weeks.

If you didn't mention the mulch tarp, I would have thought that they were just starting to get ripe.

Great macro shot.

For your information, Mister Nikon, I can stop ANYTIME I WANT TO. Really. I swear. You just watch.

Better Boys, huh? We have Big Boys, Big Girls, Pink Girls, Cherries, Beefsteaks, Beefmasters, Celebrities, Ramapos, Rutgers... but no Better Boys.

Just starting to get ripe, SPK? Gracious, we only planted them last week. Poor things. They won't be ripe (and saltable) for a while yet. :)

I can't believe these are but ordinary tomatos! Wonderful close-up.

Everything looks kinda funny if you get reeeeeeally close. :)

You think these are LATE? We barely even have flowers on ours yet. And Jersey isn't that different from our latitude.

I wonder what purpose all this little hairs serve?

feeeshies?

Ruth- Wellllll, the plants are only about 9 inches high... they started flowering while they were still in their little pots, probably under the assumption that they weren't gonna get planted.

I just planted the squash TODAY! It's JUNE! And I have to do the peppers TOMORROW!

Ame- I'll snap whatever I LIKE, thank you very much! :P

Paul- The puns, the puns!
..Yes, it is a feeshie tie, and I'm wearing it!

Our zuccini and pumpkins still aren't in the ground.

Josy said...

Well, I did our zuccinis yesterday, and the peppers aren't going in for another week... so let's just agree that we're about on the same foot. :)
