It seems like such an odd name for a store, but I think it comes from an odd name for a town. If my memory is correct, there is a town called 84, or Eighty Four, in Pennsylvania, which we used to pass when driving from the Pittsburgh airport to my sister's home in State College. The lumber company started there.
You're apparently right, though I would never have guessed if you hadn't mentioned it. Eighty Four is a heck of a weird name for a town.
tell me again how you get you photos so big?

I upload my images at 700 pixels wide, because I have my blog set up to handle images that wide, and I don't have to resize from 1024 pixels wide or something.
