clematis

A Clematis. Apparently this is one of the last ones in bloom.

Sheesh. Welcome to the Ocean Township Daily FLOWER. I'm almost looking forward to winter so I can stop relying on easy-to-photograph eye candy to fill my posts.

What an interesting clematis! I've never seen one with these colours. Just lovely!

We have a guest's photo in the Guelph blog today!

I don't know why but this reminds me of feathers on a bird.
It's a nicely done design.

Wonderful details.

Pat- Well, it's not ACTUALLY blue... it just looks that way in the fading light. I mean, I'm not well-versed in clematis subspecies, but it didn't look that odd to me.

Paul- Their down feathers, up close, kind of look like this... as do the crests of some flamboyant species. :)

lv2scpbk- Why thank you! But it was all nature's doing. :)

It's so close it might tickle my nose! Splendid shot.
