clover

clover

As I've said, I like photographing weeds. This here is a clover blossom! I've always admired the way that- if you look closely- it's not just A blossom, but a collection of tiny blossoms. Who knew? Well, besides you, smarty-pants.

In my eyes there's no such thing as a weed. Just cultivated plants and wild plants. You just can't call anything as beautiful as a clover flower a weed!

Life is filled with surprises. I know that some other flowers are this way too but most are a petal a part of the whole thing. I grow little white Dutch clover for the benefit of bees and rabbits.

Certainly not, Tony! After all, they sell clover seeds!

Abe Lincoln, we grow a vegetable garden for the benefit of the rabbits. They do love a tender pepper stalk... unfortunately, they leave us people bereft of peppers. ;)

lovely image, ms j...

you might consider darkening the left edge of the flower a bit, though... it draws the eye away from the main subject...

The left edge? Really?

I get distracted by that green center and the overexposed top.

Huh! I guess the left IS overexposed! See, this is what I need you around for, Mike.

WOW! I had no idea this was a clover blossom. How intricate and deceiving. It's like flowers within a flower. Nice.

it is good to be needed... (laugh)... and now no one can rightly say i'm a 'good for nothing'...

they can, however, still say that i am 'good for very little'...

Zappy- EVERYTHING becomes interesting when you look at it up close. That's my philosophy at the moment, anyway. :)

m- Pshhhh, what AREN'T you good for? You cook, you clean, you raise kids, you produce art... if a robot could do half of what you can do, it would sell LIKE HOTCAKES in the stores.
