Sunset

I'll admit... sometimes, New Jersey is pretty okay.

(LENS FLARES ARE YOUR FRIENDS. They love you. Love them back.)

(Yes, okay, I took this out the back window of a car driving 40mph in the opposite direction. From the wrong side of the car. Cut me some slack, critics.)

Some of my favorite photos I've taken are from driving down the road at whatever speed I was doing at the time. Nice job!

First of all, STOP being so hard on yourself!!! Your shots are awesome, and this one is no different.

I have this question, if you are in NJ and the sun rises in the East, and sets in the West. How in tarnation did you get a sunset??????

Oh wait, I just read the tags: Sandy Hook. Got it.

For those non-New Jersians out there, sandy hook... well it hooks and it is sandy. So you can shoot from the inside of the hook to the outside and get a gorgeous sunset!

Rambling Round- Thank you. :)

Carol E.- Well, some people are critical of such flaws, so I like to head 'em off before they can start ragging on my Friend Lens Flares.

L- Thank you.

Northbayphoto & Slinger- I have a confession: I was actually in the backseat. It still required some contorting to get this photo, but at least I wasn't driving.

Lilly- Thanks.

SPK- I know this is an awesome shot, especially considering all the reasons it shouldn't be an awesome shot. I have no problem with lens flares. But some people do, so I'm heading them off before they start criticizing me.

And yeah, I'd been thinking for a while how nice it would be to capture a sunset over the ocean, but what a pity that I lived on the east coast...

Josy, it's a great shot. I love lens flare, honest! When did it become a sin? Digital photography seems to mandate messing with the computer to erradicate or add things.

So long as you weren't driving at the time I've no problem with out of the window shots, but what do you mean by the "wrong" side of the car?
