seawall

seawall

Between the beach and the road, there is a SEAWALL. The weather on the coast has a tendency to be WICKED, and sand has a tendency to blow.

Hence: a seawall exists.

Side note: absolutely no editing went into this photo. I couldn't come up with anything I could do to markedly improve it- even a crop- so here it is,

exactly as it was shot from the window of a moving car. THIS is what we call a "happy accident."

This is a great shot - & great composition.
(I should count how many of your photos you take while driving :)

Build a wall and somebody will want to get on the other side. Never fails.

I like your photograph a lot and also your narrative of it.

I have 1 baby raccoon today and a pile of poop!

Ohhh, it's so fun to see a pic of something I have passed by!

I used to work down the shore, and I totally remember passing that wall and seeing the stairs that go up and over.

Well, Abe, there's a beach on the other side. It's the Jersey Shore. Who wouldn't want to get to that? That's the whole reason people drive down this road!

And SPK, you even talk the talk! When did you work in Jersey?

I like it just as it is. Happy accidents happen more often to people who practice.
